Conduit v0.20.1 release
· One min read
Conduit v0.20.1 is a patch release. It fixes data-loss bugs in the built-in Postgres, S3 and Kafka connectors, plus lifecycle bugs where a failed status write could leave a pipeline that could not be stopped or let one run twice.
Key Highlights
- Postgres CDC could lose rows on restart (since 2022): interleaved transactions and rows sharing one log position (
COPY, multi-row inserts). Fixed in the embeddedpostgresconnector. - Kafka destination could ack a record that failed to write in a multi-record batch. Fixed.
- Postgres destination acked a batch whose COMMIT failed (since v0.6.0). Fixed.
- Postgres
DELETEstopped Avro pipelines (since v0.11.0): the pipeline restarted on the same record forever while the slot kept WAL. Fixed; upgrading alone unsticks it. - Lifecycle: a failed status write no longer leaves a live run degraded and unstoppable, and no longer lets one pipeline start twice.
Embedded connectors bumped: postgres v0.14.2 → v0.14.4, s3 v0.9.3 → v0.9.5, kafka v0.12.5 → v0.12.6.
caution
Some Postgres pipelines now stop on purpose after upgrading, and the first restart can re-deliver records (at-least-once). Read the release notes for the downgrade warnings before you upgrade.
